In Arizona it can be really hot and one day a potato was walking down the street when he got stopped by zookeeper named Jeff. Jeff asked what he was doing walking around on a 100 degree day because he was going to get baked, which he already was. So the zookeeper ate him.

Would you ever know what it would be like to have been left on an abandoned island by one of your so called friends, if you don’t I’ll tell you what I do here. So it was the summer and my friend and I went on a boat, but suddenly that boat started to sink. So she dropped me off on an island (luckily it had all of the things I need to survive) saying she would come back, guess what she didn’t to… come back! So I had to find my way around the island.

This island isn’t small but I could walk around the whole thing in a day, but anyways. I had to build a hut out of palm trees, it’s pretty nice if you ask me. I have a dock also made from palm trees, that I fish off of every week or so. This was abandoned so it did have a few cool things left like, a cool run down tree house that I fixed up. Your probably wondering why I don’t live in there, but it’s because the tree house is for making things.

Kinda like my doc, it’s like a tool shed. But anyways I do like the island sometimes it gets a little lonely but I’ll live. You should come and visit sometime.

We’ve all herd of Harry Potter at least once in our lives, but have you ever actually compared it to your life? In Harry Potter you will hear this quote by Dumbledore, “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, when one only remembers to turn on the light.” To me this means, even in the darkest of times you can always find a way out. So put it this way, if you ever are sad, lonely, or depressed, it can be hard to feel better. But slowly move forward knowing something better is waiting for you along the way. Maybe it’s a better you, or better situation, whatever it is just know it’s waiting for you.

Someone I admire is my mom. Yeah it’s not original but I look up to her for so many reasons, to many to list. She is always with me through tough times, especially when I was little. She keeps me on my feet and supports me with my sports and more. She may not have time to talk but she will make time to see if I’m ok, I’ll always thank her for that. In sports she will always make it to all my games and she will always support both my sister and I. And I thank her so much for how much she works for my sister and I.

For the year of 2023 I’d like to focus on the word, focus. For 2022 it was something I struggled with for a bit, and this year I’d like to improve on that. Focusing would help me improve on my grades, and my after school activities. When I’m able to focus and get my grades up to I’m able to stay in my sports. Overall focusing on the word focus would help me improve on so much in every aspect.

For the month of December I read a book called Home Is Not a Country by: Safia Elhillo. This book is full of emotion. It is centered on a young Muslim American girl who struggles with being bullied. She constantly puts up with this behavior from many people, after moving from her homeland. She is always missing her homeland, this little girl is named Nima.

My favorite part about this book was the way Nima was able to overcome the bullying from the other students. This is a great book to read for middle schoolers. It is a good way to put a fictional story Meanwhile it lets people experience through her the different situations that people go through.

A quote from the book I found interesting was, “I want him to know I am not lonely, I have ghosts, I have my illnesses, I have a mouthful of half-languages, & blood thick with medications, doctors line up to hear my crooked heart”. To me, this means although she might be in pain she still wants to reassure her family and friends that she is still fighting.

My favorite character would have to be Nima’s mother. The reasoning behind this is because she has built up a stable life for her and her daughter, and will do anything to keep her daughter safe and educated. Although it can get tough she still pushes through for her family.

If you were given the option to be principal for the day what would you do? For me there are many things I want to do, starting with the school day. I would want to cut back the number of hours the kids will be @ school, meaning school will start at eight a.m. and end at twelve p.m. Giving them time after school to hang out with friends AND do homework.

Secondly the lunches. All though the school lunches aren’t bad, I just feel that we could partner with a foundation that will provide fresher foods and drinks that kids will enjoy more. Meaning they will be more nutritious and kids will not just throw them away.

The third thing I would personally change is how we keep our school clean. Although we do have janitors, I feel that it’s not just their job to keep our school clean but ours. There should be a competition based off of how each grade level left their lunch area. The winning Grade level getting a prize of some sort.

Next is for a longer Passing period time. Although they do give us quite a bit of time, for most people it’s not enough time to go to the restroom and walk to say hi to friends. Although passing period time is mainly used to get to your next class people do stop to say hi to each other leaving just a little bit of time to get to class or to go to the bathroom.

Lastly is school dances. School dances can be fun, but I feel that some kids might want it more formal. Although they’re made so you can just go and hang out with your friends I feel that it should be more special because middle schoolers don’t get all the opportunities high schoolers do, so they should be spending the years at middle school wisely.

It was a normal evening for a photographer near a river, he was just about to sit down to photograph two bears walking across the river. As he was getting ready to set up his camera, the Bears started to fight. He wasn’t going to miss this opportunity to photograph bears fighting. But he was wondering why they got up into this fight so quickly, before that they were perfectly fine. It was running through his mind the whole time he was sitting there, but he couldn’t quite figure it out. As he sat there he watched the fight slowly come to an end, he started to pack up. He had the photos he wanted, and the bear started walking away. As the photographer got back to his work, he asked everybody in his office to put out an idea of why the Bears were fighting, finally he went to a guy who he was sure he was going to know the answer. And after talking to him the most reasonable answer to why the Bears are fighting was over food.

There are so many things that one is thankful for, especially with thanksgiving coming up. I know I’m thankful for my family. I know that’s an answer that’s used a lot but since the flu, Covid, and more going around, I have some of my family members that do have other illnesses to worry about. I’m just grateful that they have not been sick and that no one has passed in that time.

Secondly I’m thankful that I have such great friends, otherwise I wouldn’t be where I am today, so thank you to those who know. Lastly I’m thankful that I have lacrosse in my life, it has taught me so many great things. For example, how to work with a team, and communicate. We have all just grown so close fast leaving us to work harder with each other and punch each other to get better.

What would you wish for if you could have three wishes? Only rule is… you can’t wish for more wishes. There are so many things that one could wish for. My first wish I would ask to live on a farm with lots of animals. The reason I want to live on a farm with lots of animals is because I love and type of animal small, big, ocean animal, land animal. I absolutely love to help animals and spend quality time with them like I do with my family.

Secondly I would wish for my nana to be in better health. This is one of my main ones because I shared so many great memories with her, and she is now sick so she forgets lots of things. And I also want to a e new memories with her soon.

Lastly I would wish for an electric bike. This is only because I have to walk to school everyday and sometimes it’s gets hard to walk home too. But with an electric bike, getting to school and back would be so quick, with lots of time saved.
